The Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is celebrating their 50th anniversary with the premiere of “50 Years in the Mountains: The Story of the Christian Appalachian Project”. The film is a tribute honoring the services and programs of CAP and their 50 years of helping people in need in Appalachia. Actor Martin Sheen narrates this documentary, which tells their story from the beginning, when Reverend Ralph Beiting founded CAP, through the 50 years of growth and humanity that have brought them to where they are today.

With support and kindness from donors, CAP was able to touch the lives of nearly 50,000 people in need in Appalachia last year by providing food for the hungry and clothes for the less fortunate, visiting the sick, and providing shelter from the storm.
