Facebook made significant changes to its social media strategy as part of its corporate rebranding by launching new Facebook and Instagram accounts with the @facebook handle, renaming its app identifier @facebookapp and opening a public relations-oriented Twitter account for Instagram. The social platform also redesigned Messenger by replacing the Discover tab with People and Chats tabs and making businesses, chatbots and games only viewable via actively searches or by being directed by ads, QR codes or other methods.
